We all know about inflatable water toys and we love to play with them too. Although children love to play on jumping castle and inflatable slides most of the people don’t know about the material that is used to make these inflatable toys.
PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) is a vinyl polymer constructed of repeating vinyl groups having one of their hydrogen’s replaced with a chloride group. It is the 3rd widely produced plastic after polyethylene and polypropylene.
It is also used in making sewerage pipes and its production expected to increase 40 million tons by the year 2016. It is also applicable in making water beds, pool toys, insulators etc.
It was introduced first by 1872 and produced on commercial level in 1930’s. Although it is not that much hazardous as other chemical materials are but yes they produced a narcotic effect also. It is getting much popular in the business world now.
